NEW AND IMPROVED RIVER VALLEY IDOL

AUGUST 19 & 20, 2011

Contestants will compete before ValleyFest begins, and the top 10 finalists in each age divisions will perform at Valleyfest on Saturday, August 20th on our Main stage throughout the day. The winners will announced Saturday late afternoon on the Main stage and will perform before each band takes the Travis Tritt Stage (in the soccer field).

After auditions, the top ten finalists from each age division will be contacted by 6:00 pm on Friday August 12th.

AUDITIONS:
The initial judging round will take place two nights, Wednesday, August 3rd for adults and Thursday, August 4th for kids at 6:00 pm at the L.V. Williamson Boys and Girls Club, 600 East 16th Street. Entry Fee is $15.00 per individual.

Performers will need to provide their own music (cd, or instrument) and will be judged by a three judge panel. After auditions, the top ten finalists from each age division will be contacted by 6:00 pm on Friday August 12th.

AGE DIVISIONS:

· 1 to 12 years old

· 13 to 17 years old

· 18 and up

PERFORMANCES:

Performances at ValleyFest will be as follows:

Saturday, August 20th on the Main Stage starting at 10:00 am for Kids and 1:00 pm for Adults finalists.

Winners of each age group will be announced Saturday, August 20th at 4:00 pm on the Main Stage.

Winners of each age group will perform once again August 20th on the Travis Tritt Stage (Soccer Field) as follows:

· 1st place – 1-12 years old will perform at approximately 6:00 pm before the 1st act

· 1st place – 13-17 years old will perform at approximately 7:15 pm before 2nd act

· 1st place – 18 & up will perform at approximately 8:15 pm before Travis Tritt.

Remember you need to provide your own music!!!!!!
